Herkimer Twin Golden Healer :       This was begun totally different than it ended up.  I had every intention of wrapping my first regular Herkimer and never dreamed the task would be so daunting for a novice.  Just starting out this year and not ever watching or seeing someone do one of them left me feeling like I was all thumbs so to speak.  Every time I turned the wire it seemed there was a new direction for the crystal to slip out of my fingers.  So I did the next best thing.  I switched stones!     This was wrapped as a gift for a 1 year old so she would have something special from an early age to keep for a lifetime as a gift for her 1st birthday.  It's of course her first crystal and it happens to be a golden healer.  I chose this photo since the yellow coating easily shows here.  A horizontal wrap was the best I could do after all the frustrations of attempting the other and the subsequent time constraints.  I'd love to have still had a Golden Healer in my possession but more importantly I wanted to give a quality gift.     A Friend here on Gaia suggested, "It is indeed a beautiful crystal…I know how frustrating it is when doing the wire wrap, I think sometimes the crystals choose not to be used in this way!The child is indeed fortunate to have such a gift as this.

Rick's Aura May 2009 : This ios still a bit fuzzy because it wasn't the best scan but ultimately it shows the Chakras and basic color scheme which is what really matters.  About 2-3 hours before I got this photo I was at a Native American Education Center providing some gemstones that had amongst them some great stones.  I wsa incredibly drawn to the Azurite-Malachite stone that's mostly blue with a little green.  Hmmmn.   This at first presented quite a conundrum because my immediate concern with the picture was that the stones in my breast pocket altered the reading bringing forth these energies, however it later was supported by others that I likely was drawn TO the stones because of how they reflected my inner nature.  I consider this a wonderful expample of family time because I got wonderful opportunities to discuss metaphysics and the unusual areas of life with my mother.

DOW - Close Up : This is a close up that I hoped would show the phantom plane where early development of another crystal was evident before further growth became what it is today.
DOW - Close Up
Polished DOW Phantom :      This is a series of photos in natural sunlight which even though it didn't have the intensity of a flash, it's still difficult to get a clear shot.  This crystal is a polished Dow Phantom.  I bought it as a commemorative stone to remember my first physical Labyrinth walk.  The Phantom formations are very difficult to see here and appear somewhat like veils but they are more like planes of some shift in the growth looking like a slice through the crystal.

Gypsy Passion by Andre Kostelanetz :      This is an incredible collection of music characterized as Gypsy from many different Eastern European backgrounds.  My mom would play this for my sister and me when we were little and as we got older I played it so I could get household chores done faster to the wild exciting rhythms.  Being instrumental and including so many cariables the music can carry your mind away.  When your down in the dumps it can totally distract you by getting you caught up in the amazing sounds.  It's incredibly soul stirring.  I only wish the modern era had an interest in preserving older 20th century recordings.  This conductor died prior to the newer technology so I suspect this style has few advocates seeking to preserve it.

Harmony Trio : This is in front of the Harmony Inn during a local community festival and the first event we did after I got my memory card that let me take more than 20 pics or so.

The Crew : This is the cast of Characters I took to the 2007 Pittsburgh Ren-Fest along with one of my daughter's teachers from the Performing Arts School who was there with an acting troupe.

Bolivian Artisan : This gentleman played a Charango and introduced my eldest to playing another instrument he picked up and played after about 15 minutes of watching.  He's amazing with stringed instruments.

More Help for a Little Guy : This was another Artisan and this guy made the most amazing wooden staffs with large crystals atop the head of them surrounded by metalwork.  They were absolutely amazing!
